Absolutely love this software, amazing how different a simple photograph looks when one part of the picture is moving.
These are old ones above is Broughty Ferry looking towards Dundee. The usual rules apply when viewing these, if you’re on a PC then right click on the video and select loop for the best viewing.
Above a train pulls away from Dundee station and below the oldest British built warship still afloat gets a wee tug along the river Tay.
I’ve been spending the past few hours colouring this old black and white of Dundee’s Home Guard giving a couple of Germans an escort along Bell Street in the centre of Dundee. A photo that has always fascinated me purely because of the Luftwaffe officer towering above the last line of defence.
This is a work in progress a few things to do and a few things to go back and change.
On this day in 1945 Dundee’s Unicorn then known as HMS Cressy accepted the surrender of a German U-Boat. Not bad for an old ship built in 1824.
Thought I’d posted this before but I don’t see it anywhere when I search, so here it is for the first or maybe the second time.
Artistic license has been used.
A year ago today I received a wee bit of recognition at STV.
First time in ages I’ve done one of these archaeography mash ups. This one Victoria Bridge in Dundee the arches are now bricked up each with it’s own locked door, would love to see what’s behind them.
I assume at one point the water was used in the mills that surrounded the area, where the hell has the water gone?
Not done one of these for ages so here’s a wee treat seeing as I’m now officially two years on WordPress, it was Groucho’s birthday last week(Groucho the man that is) and Dundee’s very own Groucho’s is getting a wee documentary made about it which you can read more on here LINK
The black and white part of the photo is all gone in favour of roads and modernization. Groucho’s is a CD, DVD and vinyl gold mine of treasures also ticket seller for all the major gigs in Scotland and probably further afield too.
The Nether Inn does some decent pub grub at a good price too, if you’re ever in Dundee you know where to go for that rare LP and some food.
More Back to the Future stuff here LINK
Added a wee bit of colour to the old black and white image.
This from Dundee’s ancient Howff Cemetery which is needing a bit of TLC so a wee group have gotten together to do something about it. https://www.facebook.com/howffrestorationgroup
